Dr. Satira
S. Streeter, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Executive Director of Ascensions Community Services, Inc. is a 1997 Summa
Cum Laude graduate of Wilberforce University and a 2001 graduate of the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology
(Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, and the College of William and Mary).
Dr. Streeter's
experiences include work in Veteran's Administration Hospitals, Residential Treatment Centers, State and Federal Correctional
Institutions, Community Mental Health Centers, and Therapeutic Day Schools. Her research has focused on African-American
Inmates and College Students, Learned Helplessness, Risk Factors, and Explanatory Styles. She has served two years on
the Board of Directors for the Association of Black Psychologists and on various community committees. Her life mission
is to be a healer and a helper, providing culturally relevant therapeutic interventions and empowerment to the people of her
community.
